Photo Hunters: DIRTY

This emu did not mind getting dirty!

Our car quickly came to mind for Dirty. We had driven a lot of back roads after snow and rain which made for one dirty car. We'd go on the these roads looking for birds, etc, to take photos.

Photo Hunters: HAPPY

This is my first time to join in with Photo Hunters. The Happy theme is perfect for me because last week I was experimenting with macro using the ring flash. To my surprise, most of the water drops on the leaf reflected part of the ring flash which gave them HAPPY smiley faces. One is even winking at us!

Fair Memories

I grew up being in 4-H, and I have wonderful memories of it. I did the cooking and sewing, but they really weren't my favorite. My favorite would be the animals. I usually had a steer, and one year I had a lamb. How I loved that lamb! It was literally a little pet, and would follow me while demanding my attention.
Well, when at the State Fair in Boise this week I melted when I saw this young lady sitting with her animal. It is so obvious they love one another, just like I loved my little lamb, Willie.

Thank you, Paulie

Paulie gave me the Nice Matters Award. How kind of her!
Since I don't know seven bloggers I'm not able to pass it on.
But, Paulie certainly deserves receiving it from me.

This is my first. Not sure what I am doing so beware.

Yesterday, the 21st, was a great day. It was my first year since age 5 that I didn't go to school.

And today is special because it is my parents' 63rd wedding Anniversary. How special is that! My parents are the best!

Right now is the Western Idaho State Fair. For the first time ever my husband and I entered photos. We each were allowed to enter four, and when we each got a ribbon we were pleasantly surprised.
He got third place for his beautiful Cattle Egret. I got fourth place for my Lorikeet, and Honorable Mention for my macro spider.
